John 8:12-20

Jesus said to the Pharisees:

‘I am the light of the world;

anyone who follows me will not be walking in the dark;

he will have the light of life.’

At this the Pharisees said to him, ‘You are testifying on your own behalf; your testimony is not valid.’

Jesus replied:

‘It is true that I am testifying on my own behalf,

but my testimony is still valid,

because I know

where I came from and where I am going;

I really like a confident person. Someone who knows who they are and whose they are. Today in this short reflection we meet a very confident Jesus who will not give ground to those who have nothing going for themselves and meddle in the affairs of others. He refuses to let them through him off his game. There will come a time when you my friend will have to claim your truth. I want you to do it like Christ. Claim your truth without being bitter towards those who meddle.
