Since 2009, Rabbouni has offered a place of acceptance and welcome to members of the Louisville and Lebanon communities. We believe our community is an oasis for people who want to deepen their faith while practicing a new way of being Catholic. We believe that as Jesus welcomed everyone, no matter where you are in life, you are welcome to the Eucharistic feast celebrated at Rabbouni. Rabbouni is not affiliated with the Archdiocese of Louisville.

Meet the Clergy

Fr. Lawman Chibundi

Fr. Lawman grew up in Chibombo, Zambia and felt the call to ministry as a child. At 16, he entered seminary with the intention of entering the Passionists, but God had other plans. At the encouragement of a priest friend, he applied to the Archdiocese of Louisville and came to Louisville, Kentucky to study. He completed his Masters of Divinity at Saint Meinrad School of Theology and was ordained in 2004. During his time with the Archdiocese, he worked at churches throughout Central Kentucky as well as earned an MBA from Bellarmine University in 2009. Feeling called to another path, he left the Archdiocese in 2009 and began Rabbouni Catholic Community. Since that time, he has pastored the community and also works in law enforcement. He looks forward to serving the community for many years to come!

Fr. Will came to Louisville in 2004 and it felt like home. He moved to Louisville to study for the priesthood for an Independent Catholic group, where he was ordained in 2007. He was administrator at St. Mark's until 2009,  at which point he began providing support at Rabbouni as an adjunct priest while also being involved in social ministry. He holds a BS from the University of Louisville, a JD from Northern Kentucky University, a Masters of Theological Studies from Nations University, and an MBA from William Howard Taft University.
