Mark 7:31-37

BE OPENED!!!

Returning from the district of Tyre, Jesus went by way of Sidon towards the Sea of Galilee, right through the Decapolis region. And they brought him a deaf man who had an impediment in his speech; and they asked him to lay his hand on him. He took him aside in private, away from the crowd, put his fingers into the man’s ears and touched his tongue with spittle.

Happy Valentine’s Day to you my beautiful people. I am so blessed to have an incredibly loving and forgiving tribe like you.

Hey what are you deaf to? What don’t you hear that would be helpful to hear loud and clear? We often talk about our blind spots but maybe there is deaf spots too. Maybe there are things we would have loved to hear from our parents when we were children. Maybe because we did not hear those things, it makes it a little difficult for us to speak the same things today.

On this day of love, place your hands on your chest, close your eyes and say those beautiful words to yourself. And then let something happen to you. Yes give yourself to Spirit and let Spirit open you to a new hearing. It may also be a time to forgive and let go.
